General Information

Horse Week focuses on children 7 to 15 years old, both boys and girls.  Our sessions have 4 to 6 riders so individual needs are met.  We provide a  safe, friendly, stable/farm environment where children learn the proper way to care for, groom, and ride horses.
All activities are horse-related, teach self-confidence, and responsibility.
We offer more "extras" than anyone else around.

Horse Week Activities

Horsemanship:
The children learn all the basics of horse care and how to bond with their horses. They will learn how to braid manes and tails, care for a horse's feet, and how to care for their tack. Some tack will even be for sale!

Horseback Riding:
Kids will get to ride English, Western, and bareback!  No prior experience with horses is necessary.  We expose them to all styles of riding and horsemanship! Riding instruction is given in the shade of our covered arena. Riders are taught how to care for horses and much more!

Art:
Children do horse-related art projects  during or after the lunch break.  Even the horses get in on the art projects!

Events and Games:
We can customize special packages for you!

Special Activities:
Special activities, like costume parties (humans only), and much more add to the fun of being at Horse Week.  Games are played before or during lunch in a great shaded and grassy area.  These include volleyball, water balloons, and many more.

Pool:
Our large hot tub becomes a pool for Horse Week participants.  It's a great way to cool off on a hot summer day!

Grooming Contest:
After learning the skills of grooming and horse care, teams show what they have learned.
Each team is judged, and everyone gets a prize!

Horse Show:
At the end of every Horse Week grooming contest, we stage a small horse show to demonstrate the horseback riding skills the children have mastered.  Everyone wins prizes, and Horse Week ends with the presentation of the "Most Improved Rider" award.
