General Information
Our Trot to the Top Horseback Riding Day Camp focuses on children 7 to 15 years of age, both boys and girls. Our sessions are small so that individual needs are met. We provide a safe, friendly, stable/farm environment where children learn the proper way of caring for, grooming and riding horses.
All activities are horse-related and teach self-confidence and responsibility. "Trot to the Top" means work to be the very best you can be!
We offer more "extras" than any camp around.
At Summer Camp, tee shirts, camp photos, camp supplies, prizes, horse show trophies and ribbons are all included.

Camp Activities
Horsemanship:
Our campers learn all the basics of horse care and bond with their horses. Horseback Riding: Of course! That's why our campers come to us instead of going somewhere else. No experience is necessary. We expose campers to all styles of riding and horsemanship - English, Western, and Bare Back for balance. Riding instruction is given in the shade of our covered arena. Art: Campers do horse-related art projects during or after the lunch break. Even the horses get in on the art projects! Events and Games: We can customize special packages for you! Special Activities: Costume Parties (humans only), and much more add to the fun of being at camp. Games are played before or during lunch in a great shaded and grassy area. These include volleyball, water balloons, and many more. Pool: Our large hot tub becomes a pool for campers. It's a great way to cool off on a hot summer day! Grooming Contest: After learning the skills of grooming and horse care, teams of campers show what they have learned. Each team is judged and prizes are awarded. Everyone gets a prize! Horse Show: At the end of every session, after the Grooming Contest, we stage a small Horse Show. Campers will demonstrate to friends and family the skills they have learned. All campers win prizes, and camp ends with the presentation of the "Most Improved Rider" award. Graduation: On the last day of camp, certificates and camp photos are given to all campers. Repeat campers receive a gold or bronze horse medallion during the graduation ceremony. |
